New World Record: 288 career hit by pitches for Choi Jeong
SSG’s Choi Jeong set a new world record for hit-by-pitches. In his career, he has not been plunked a total of 288 times. He is now ahead of Hughie Jennings (287) and Craig Biggio (285).

2021 KBO All-Star Selections
KBO released the final fan voting numbers for the 2021 KBO All-Star teams (the game was cancelled due to COVID precautions).
- Kang Min-ho was the leading vote-getter.

A few changes when play resumes in August…
- KBO Playoffs will begin after Nov 15.
- All postseason games will be held at Gocheok.
- Semi-Playoff and Playoff Series will be Best-of-3
- Games that are cancelled after Aug 25 are eligible to become doubleheaders and if games are cancelled due to COVID, rain-out rules will apply (DH’s, Monday game etc).
- No extra innings for regular season games
